​A delegation of seventy (70) officers and staff from the Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry and its Department was among the 12, 900 participants of National Maulud Mass Gathering and Procession in commemoration of Prophet Muhammad's Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam birthday at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien on 9th November 2019. The grand assembly was led by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

Yang Mulia Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Yahya, Permanent Secretary (Energy) led the led the procession of officers and staff from the Ministry. Also a part of the procession were Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Mohd. Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan, Permanent Secretary (Industry) and Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Jamra Weira bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Energy and Power).

A group of sixty (60) officers and staff from the Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry also performed Dirkir Marhaban during the event. With the theme "Meneladani Muamalat Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam", the celebration began with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti. It was later followed by a welcoming address by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs as the Chairman of the Executive Committee for National Level Major Religious Events 1441 Hijrah.

The event later proceeded with a "junjung ziarah" session followed by a Dikir Marhaban, performed by the Ministry's Dikir group. The Dikir team then recited the Saiyidul Istighfar.  

 His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Members of the Royal Families were joined by Cabinet Ministers at the Royal Dais.
