Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Md. Hussein, Minister of Energy, Manpower and Industry led the mass gathering and procession to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on 9th November 2019 at Pekan Bangar Community Hall Complex Field. The procession in Temburong District saw the participation of One Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty Nine (1,169) participants which involved 20 teams.
Also present were Yang Berhormat Haji Emran Bin Haji Sabtu, Member of the Legislative Council and Penghulu Mukim Bokok; Yang Mulia Awang Haji Zolkiflee bin Haji Abdul Karim, Permanent Secretary (Manpower), Ministry of Energy, Manpower and Industry and Yang Mulia Awang Mohammad Khairul Shahrul bin Haji Duahim, Assistant Temburong District Officer.
The ceremony started with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mosque Affairs Officer Haji Kamarulzaman bin Kamis, followed by a special religious talk titled 'Meneladani Muamalat Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam' delivered by Yang Mulia Haji Yusof bin Haji Abdul Majid, Special Duties Officer II of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
A Dikir performance was also held by officers and staff from government departments in the district. The event was later followed by the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Doa Selamat and Selawat. The Minister of Energy, Manpower and Industry was introduced to participating team leaders before presenting certificates to the winners of the Maulidur Rasul Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wassalam procession competition.
